Pacific Rim: Uprising

In Pacific Rim, the Kaiju that attack the Earth come in three waves. The final and third wave in 2025 was designed to wipe out humanity. In an interview with John Boyega for Pacific Rim: Uprising, he refers to all three waves as a “test run”.^{[note 1]}^[1]
