We don't know whether or not that's Leatherback or Otachi. Lily Ford (talk) 23:12, July 6, 2013 (UTC)
I think its preety clear. The Otachi is killed in space, with a sword, in a TV spot Gipsy uses the Plasma cannon on the Leatherback at point blank range, covering himself in blood. In the shot where he fires at the corpse he is drenched in Kaiju blood. Plus the general shape of the corpse is more bulky as oppose to the more serpentine body of the Otachi. Another thing is when Gipsy heads of to fight the otachi he no longer has blood on him because its raining. He kills the Otachi in space and then drops back to earth clean as a whistle, there is a TV spot of him dropping back and using his Chest turbine to slow his decent, he is not covered in blood. It really is obvious that is the Leatherback. Noc noc... whos their? Darknesssss (talk) 15:33, July 7, 2013 (UTC)

Main Picture

Fan art is cute, but not for the main picture.Noc noc... whos their? Darknesssss (talk) 05:21, July 19, 2013 (UTC)

It's concept art from the film's production, not fan art. Lily Ford (talk) 05:22, July 19, 2013 (UTC)
Fine, but its not up in 'quality' to really warrent the main picture. Its somewhat choppy, the old one was much better Noc noc... whos their? Darknesssss (talk) 05:23, July 19, 2013 (UTC)

Less Intelligent?

I don't think we should be calling Leatherback less intelligent or cunning than Otachi. Not only is Leatherback the only Kaiju to ever utilize an improvised weapon, but he went for that crane the second he saw it. -Reaper with no name (talk) 07:36, August 20, 2013 (UTC)

The artbook cites that Leatherback is on a lower tier of intelligence of Otachi, but the author never implied stupidity so much as they were saying Otachi's behavior suggested strategy while Leatherback relied on its muscle and improvisation. It's the one armed with the EMP (not something you'd give an "idiot"), but its was clearly designed be a brawler whereas Otachi wasn't (though it could).Lily Ford (talk) 08:16, August 20, 2013 (UTC)
Interesting. That would imply that Otachi is also capable of improvisation. Well, given that such a thing is certainly possible, I have no choice but to defer to the artbook on this matter. -Reaper with no name (talk) 08:45, August 20, 2013 (UTC)
