- It's so much useful information as it is trivia fan conclusions. The Cloverfield comparison I can understand (they provided some window of comparison with a visual), but the rest of these monsters have nothing in common with the Otachi outside of of being long snout creatures with flight or reptile in appearance. Outside of that, they're pretty different from Otachi altogether. That's why it was removed. - Honestly even the Cloverfield comparison is not a good one. The creators explicitly stated they didn't want to reference other Mechas or Kaiju, shouldn't the fans respect that? Which Speed should take Precedence?[]

Pterosaur wings?[]
The article states that Otachi's wings "startlingly resemble a Pterosaur's", but they are much more like a bat's wings, with their finger-like supports - which a Pterosaur lacked.62.163.78.104 10:24, October 14, 2013 (UTC)
I dissagree. the pterosaur comparison is much more accurate. a bat has its wing supported by all 4 fingers. A pterosar has wings only supported by the fourth finger. Otachi is the same as a pterosaur. There was an extra bone in there, but it seemed like something different. Glitchrr36 (talk) 00:16, November 28, 2013 (UTC)
Name mistranslation[]
According to my google fu, Otachi means "a polite term for calling, departing, and staying where one is". Seems someone is mixing up otachi with odatchi, which is an older term for a nodatchi. Kaiselius 15:40, March 20, 2015 (UTC)
