  • Is it me, or is NECAs quality control absolutely appalling? Today I purchased the Battle damaged Gipsy Danger figure, only to find out of package that the hip joints were not set properly, the bar that holds the hips slides out, and the left leg doesn't even stay on. This is not the only problem I've had with their Pacific Rim figures, or NECA figures from other things like Gears of War. Crimson Typhoons joints out of package were incredibly stiff, and the ball joint on the claw on his left arm is stuck, also, the rubber on the ending tail of Knifehead tore 3 days after I opened it.

Anyone else having these problems with their PR figures?

Im just wandering if any one else has these issues.

    • Yep! Ive got the same problems. My crimson typhoon's front right arm's ball socket was glued in place and greatly limited its range of motion to flexion/extension, no abduction/adduction. My eureka striker's legs are also poorly set, and it doesnt stand fully straight. NECA's sculptors and designers are geniuses (and they listen to sculpt feedback - theyre apparently re-releasing knifehead to be more accurate im terms of scale), but you're right: their QC sucks. Have you checked out feedback via their website? Despite all this, im stoked for the cherno alpha figure out Q1 next year!

    • My Striker Eureka is perfect, every issue people find with it doesn't exist on mine.

    • As soon as I get any of the figures, I'll inform you of problems.

You could do surgery on Crimson's Front arm. I am.

    • Neca's QC has always been so bad, but they have an excellent Customer Service!

I have complains on all my Pacific Rim figures

Crimson Typhoon: the knee joins on both legs are so weak, he can't be standing for more than 5 seconds

Gipsy Danger S1: paint app is SO BAD! horrible!

Striker Eureka: I'm very affraid to move it because the hips are super weak, I read that a lot of Strikers have broken legs even before open the packing, besides that, the right leg is bowed and looks like is gonna brake

Leatherback: the paint on the back is really sloppy, blurry on one side and sharp on the other side when it has to be the same on both

Coyote Tango: one of the cannons wasn't even glued so when I opened the packing it fell down, but nothing that a little glue couldn't fix, the right leg is like 1/8 inch shorter than the left leg plus the ankle joints are weak It can't be standing more than 10 seconds (more than Crimson :3)

Cherno Alpha: the right leg is looking to the left and from the hips to below Cherno doesn't look symmetrical

And why I keep buying them? I don't really know, I know they're cheaper than HotToys or Revoltech and maybe that's why the QC is bad, but the happiness I feel every time I see the figures on my tv room forgive every complain..... except a broken limb or 2 right arms or a missing feet (I read a lot of Chernos with those QC problems!)

    • Hmm, QC issues........... None! My Cherno and Trespasser have no QC issues.

      • Something* is wrong with my Striker Eureka's plastic. One day (many months after I first got it) I found it with the left leg joint broken, complete snap of the ring. I had assumed it fell. I left it a bit, planning on gluing it later.

Week later, I picked it up... the right leg joint had the same thing happen. It'd just been laying there.

I glue the legs, holding it while it dried. I move the left arm a little.... it breaks. Same complete break, with next to no pressure.

Cherno, Crimson? No problems whatsoever, solid, poseable, tight joints, great figs. But Striker's falling apart under it's own weight.

    • Deluexe Axehead - Lower Jaw not setting in socket, when you open the mouth, it falls off.

Tacit Ronin - Right arm broke in 24 hrs, at elbow.

    • For me, striekr's leg fell of, I glued it back, crimson's joists are falling apart, cant stand, axeheads jaw missing, tacits arm stuck, broken sword...

    • I set Tacit Ronin up on my shelf opposite Disney Infinity Quorra. When I next looked, TR was on the floor with an arm and foot broken off. Not bad for an ISO with nothing but a plastic sword and no joint articulation!

What's the best glue to bond the broken ankle and shoulder joints? Both were very stiff in the first place, but they're snapped clean through. TR's a gorgeous jaeger and deserves better than to fall apart again at the next light breeze.

    • My Cherno has a nonexistant waist swivel, and I tried to use a hairdryer on it and nothing happened. My hardship also had one of its smaller arms break off, but I fixed that
